Mets Fans

Last week Gotham had a great night at Citi Field as the Mets and Yankees squared off for the first of two games in their subway series.
As I sat among my friends from Gotham, the fan allegiances were apparent as people decked out in respective jerseys and hats. It was nice to see those of different allegiances coexist.
A few days later, the Mets traveled to Miami. As I watched on TV, I was aware of the many Mets fans in the stands - even in Miami. Perhaps, not surprising given the number of former New Yorkers in Florida.
And as I pondered, I realized that there are Mets fans everywhere. Watch the Mets play anywhere and you’re bound to see Mets fans in the stands.
An interesting observation.....

Having moved several times, it has been easy to adapt to most things, but it is almost impossible to change allegiance when it comes to sports or bagels.

As a Mets Fan, I do see the fans in different stadiums too. We are a loyal bunch with many transplants (including myself) to other states. Not to mention the desire to travel in these post pandemic times.
