Who Says I Can't Keep a Secret?

The answer is me!

For most of my life I was all too willing to share a secret.

Is a shared secret still a secret?

I just readily did it without introspection or remorse.
As time passed people realized my tendency and stopped confiding in me.

Amazingly, at this venerable stage of my life, I’ve morphed into a reliable keeper of secrets.

As an example, last Saturday Mitch blogged about my granddaughter Maggie without naming her and asked me to keep it a secret.

And I did!

What’s more, I’ve kept an even bigger secret all year long…

ANd all of us who tried to keep the secret about you’re keeping secrets are now relieved....

Some secrets are meant to be shared. The key is being able to discern which is which and enjoying being the keeper of the real secret ones.

Are you good at keeping secrets or is it the memory forgets and makes it easy to keep the secret?

It’s awesome to be a trusted secret keeper! And it’s true, we all know those whom we can’t trust.
