Yesterday was my Mom's 92nd birthday. Even though we are celebrating with my family today, I stopped by yesterday to say hi.

It's always a blanket of emotions visiting her. She lives in the "memory neighborhood" in an assisted living center where they take fantastic care of her. I'm grateful for the people that work there.

I have no idea what she feels or thinks since she hardly talks. I'm hoping that being with her family today light's her up and she experiences some joy.

Let's cross our fingers!

Happy Birthday to your mom! I echo Fred’s sentiments, you’re a good son! Don’t give up the sweet gestures. Even when someone begins to verbally or physically reciprocate less, they can certainly still feel the warmth and love.

I think she recognizes you and feels the love!
Enjoy the day in her honor with the family!

I hope that being with your mom in celebration lights you up ... that's a part of your Mom's legacy and something that would bring her joy.

Happy Birthday to your Mom. Whatever you can do is appreciated. I am sure mom is aware enough to understand you care. Enjoy these moments while you can.

I firmly believe there are other levels of consciousness that
"know" even if submerged. Your visit was not in vain, least of
not because you honored the woman who gave you life and love.
