My Happy Place

Do you have a happy place?  After being squarely in one of mine last week,  I decided I was pretty lucky to actually have a long list of happy places.

My top five came down this way:

  • A summertime beach day with my husband, a good book, good snacks and a glass of wine
  • Watching my son perform – music is so clearly his happy place and so it is mine too
  • Listening to my daughter bubble with excitement about some new way that her nonprofit has taken another step towards changing the world
  • A good strategy session with a client where the final plan feels really strong
  • In my kitchen with a new recipe and new cookware

If you’re interested in which one blessed me last week, check out my Facebook and videos of my son’s final college a Capella performance.  It was one of those moments.

Gotham, join me and let’s start our day off together with a positive step.  Will you share with us one of your happy places?  Or maybe more than one?

Feeding the fish in my backyard canal. I have enjoyed this now for the past several months. First it was just the "eat anything" catfish. Then other breeds started getting closer such as semi-translucent Needle Nose Gars, the ever jumping Pogy's, an occasional puffer fish, several Sting Rays and the many young Mullet. I give my table scraps twice a day and they seem to enjoy it as much as I do. Each with their favorite food and sized of food matters. Very very relaxing.
