A show about a single mother, her three daughters, and her mom may not sound like a great watch.  But, “Better Things” is rated a must watch 96 on MetaCritic and it received a 100 rating from Rotten Tomatoes.  And, I think it is one of the best shows ever done.

Pamela Adlon the star, producer, writer, and director has created a show that has humor and pathos.  The show is so real in its depiction of how life unfolds in surprising and touching ways.  “Better Things” reminds us that nothing is perfectly good or horribly bad but life is a wonder to be appreciated as a family.  Adlon explores the relationships in family and among friends with a masterful take that has not been duplicated.

“Better Things” has been called, “Bittersweet, funny, and brimming with wisdom.”  The fifth and final season is currently running on FX and make sure to search out the other episodes.  Each one is creative, beautiful, and musically rewarding!
