I can’t explain it, but most days I’m friendly.  

 

I encounter a person and am compelled to strike up a conversation and then find common ground and then explore similarities and experiences.  Before I know it we are “fast friends”.

 

People have remarked upon this conduct. Some 
positive, some wonder and some negative.  

 

Whatever the source, I can’t help it as it makes me feel good :)

I suffer from the same symptom and it enhances my life. I remember before my first trip to France, eons ago, being warned that the French do not like Americans or some such nonsense. That's where I learned another lesson: Smile! It is amazing how that provides the secret sauce to communicating or making acquaintances in France, (and probably every other place).
