Are You A Spider-Man Movie Fan?

“Spider-Man: No Way Home” has sold over $1.6 Billion in tickets worldwide. (without even a China release) It has sold $784 million in tickets in the United States and people are waiting anxiously to see when Spidey will be streaming.

I was anxious to see the movie in IMAX before it was relegated to the non premium screen by the “Moonfall” release.  The movie is built around the revelation that Spidey’s true identity has been revealed.  Peter Parker’s life has been turned upside down!  The movie certainly is very charming as Peter and his friends all worry about their college acceptances.  The New York City panorama scenes are breathtaking.  The collapsing bridge rescue looks great.  But, for me the movie bogs down with the CGI fight scenes.  Spider-Man is challenged by the super villains of his past.  They are back and want to take over New York City.

Small spoiler alert, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, the two past Spideys, are brought back to help put things back in order for Peter. The fighting continues and you can guess the ending. Lots of noisy battles with each combatant making miraculous comebacks. The movie seemed like a long two and a half hours!

I think when the next “Spider-Man” movie comes out, I might not be so excited to see it on the big screen.

Watching Spidy movies is most fun when I am with my grands. A big bucket of popcorn (no butter) and our combined willing suspension of disbelief make for a perfect afternoon.

I am with Fred, I like Tobey and have not consistently watched since. I feel like Batman is going in the same direction. Too much in my opinion

I went in with low expectations since I saw it much later than everyone else and pretty much knew what was going to happen because it was hard to avoid spoilers. That being said I love the Marvel Cinematic Universe and still had fun watching this one. Agree that Tobey's Spider-Man was great too.
