Contacts

Every once in a while, I come across a contact on my phone and pause. I stare and consider why the contact is still in my Contacts. Sometimes I don’t even remember the contact and have no idea how the contact got there in the first place. After a moment of thought, and with some question, I’ll often delete the contact.
“People come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.” These words of wisdom (from the daily Calm) resonate with me as I view these contacts and consider their place.

I recently texted an old contact in error and was tested when he responded:)

I do this often and usually keep the contact, unless like Fred, it gets mixed up with a current contact. Then I for sure delete it. It shows how many people pass through each of our lives.

It's amazing to me how many people I have in my contact list and how many I am actually in contact with! Over the years I have learned to put in more information in the notes so I at least know where I met them and why they have been included.

Perhaps it's a good opportunity to look them up and see why/where/for what you met them. You may want to make a reconnect call.

Oh such a familiar situation, if not quandary. So many. If I had nothing else to do I'd delete, delete, delete... they take up space on my computer (my fetish for neatness) and time in deleting people I met once, some time and place in some networking situation. As Shelly stated... I appreciate those that I have added notes for.
