plans changed (but that's OK)

It’s nice to be be busy – and I am not talking about work (but that too!) When this weekend got scoped some time ago, my daughter was getting the benefit of attending a Broadway matinee (Letters of Suresh) with her mom yesterday and an afternoon game at Citifield today with her dad. Plans change. The Baseball gods moved the game from this afternoon to this evening. Further, because my son and his bride to be came to New York Friday to secure there marriage license, we induced them to stay the night and we all dined together before the show at a nice restaurant off Times Square. We highly recommend Dafni Greek Taverna (325 W 42nd St) and it serves best ever baklava. Obviously I did not have tickets for the show so after lunch I planned to foray to either Bryant Park or McCaffrey Park to read some papers and respond to some emails. The restaurant owner actually invited me to read there in comfort so I did!

Usually, we take a weekend off to recharge. I looked back at the calendar. Weekends have been busy for one good reason or another going back to June and apparently our calendar remains full through the end of the month; not going over details but just as last weekend involved Gotham, next weekend also involves our tribe. It nice to find things to do in safety.

Spent the day driving on the beach yesterday at Democrat Point (for real they let me on !) Today will be a bike ride in Long Beach. Gotta soak in the last rays and days of Summer. It’s Summer and the livin is easy.

That is one of my favorite restaurants! Just like recharging anything, it's about an infusion of energy which obviously doesn't require being inactive. What can be more energizing than a lovely day in New York with your best people!

That is why i am watching my football team perform (quite pitifully) outside today on the 32" rather than bog screen down in the office.

It's good to have a balance (or the ability to even have it)---Greek is my favorite food!! I'll have to try it. Very nice of the owner to invite you to stay. Lucky you!

Thanks for for the tip on Daphne Taverna. Love anything Greek. And thanks for a weekend in the life of Corey Bearak!
You lead a charmed life with a colorful family and ever-fun and stimulating activities And you still manage to make time
for Gotham, your myriad humanitarian endeavors, and your government relations practice. Hats off for rolling with the punches
as deftly as multi-task. Always a fan..
