Gotham Battle of the Bands®

Some people tell this commentator that I Live for the Music. I concede I missed live music. Last night with our friends Eric and Jar we checked out a band called Rock Steady outdoors at Lamotta’s in Port Washington. It’s drummer, Andy Lavin, is a member of this tribe that hosts this commentary. And this coming Thursday, at 6:00 p.m., everyone can experience the return of Gotham’s Battle of the Bands®, this year a virtual extravaganza executive produced by our entertainment chair, Norm Spizz.  So why not Add Some Music to Your Day.

The Gotham Battle of The Bands® sponsored by Jason Greenberg and The Phoenix Public Adjusters Group, Inc. features seven announced finalists:

The Elements In The Room

Sam & Chloe

Parkway South

FM Radio

No Angelz

Tara O’Grady and The Black Velvet Band

Sound Judgment

The event is free!

To watch and Listen to the Music all you need do, is RSVP here

Thank you also to judges, Craig Bruck, Stu Cantor and Barbara Maier Gustern. They got the toughest task.

And this event could not happen without our sponsors, including the aforementioned lead sponsor, Jason Greenberg and The Phoenix Public Adjusters Group, Inc.;

Funk Sponsor, Norm Spizz/ SPN Entertainment;

Jazz Sponsors: Klein Zelman Rothermel Jacobs & Schess; Herrick Feinstein (Bruce Cholst); and The Pegalis Law Group, LLC (Annamarie Bondi-Stoddard); and

And of course, my fellow committee members

Michael Steger, Esq.

Norm Spizz

By the way, the winner gets a gig at the legendary Cafe' Wha? (Thank you CPA William Skody!).

And this song gives today’s commentary its title.

I was finally able to register on my phone. Looking forward to an entertaining evening.

Music has always played a huge part in my life. Although I was in the HS band and played piano as a kid, my energy is now spent supporting and enjoying real talent. It’s wonderful to be able to do that through The Battle! Thanks for all your hard work Corey!
Norman Spizz

Corey is the main link in the chain to produce this event. Without him and the other committee members and sponsors this event could not happen. Many thanks, Corey
ODEY RAVIV

No surprise that Corey found the live music. I look forward to a summer of music, too.
The Battle this Thursday will be our appetizer. Check out the music and look forward to Gotham's LIVE Battle in 2022!
Ditto on the hard work of Corey, Norm and Cayce. And, thanks to the rest of the committee, that made the process, which seemed daunting, fun.

Live music is back! We saw The Way Back (Best of ‘60’s & 70’s & 80’s) at K.J. Farrell’s last night. Sorry we’ll be missing the GBOTB’s as we’ll be at The Mets game at Citifield). I’m sure it will be a ‘rockin !
Corey Bearak

Just want to point out Citifield has Great wifi so you can check it out. Enjoy the game
