Recently, I’ve played a lot of golf. “Gettin’ down to divot town”, “ following the path of righteousness in my swing.” Literally learning the swing, then closing my eyes and following thru. YES! I hit the ball with my eyes closed. Twice. For me? About 100 swings for 18 holes. Maybe 90-95. That’s a lot of swings. Hence, proper stretching is required, along with a good soak, a foam roller and a theraball for sore glutes. At this maturing age, proper stretching isn’t optional, it’s required. No more grip and rip. Are there any other athletes out there learning how to stay in the game? Looking for advice on tight IT bands, gait, and remaining athletic. Humble and human, Meyer

Nothing like a good round of stretches after a run or a workout - I mix it up so I use different muscle groups. Foam roller and Stick too! And for all the good exercise does, there is the damage too so I'm focused on reducing the oxidative stress with anti-inflammatory foods.

⛳️⛳️⛳️⛳️the more we play, the better we get with those muscles. And carrying my own bag (only 5 clubs!)

Stretching is so important, even just to have a catch with my son. Age does require more maintenance.

I wear a copper fit girdle when i play. it helps me from pulling my back out, As a matter of fact I've been wearing it since my wife found it in my glove compartment

Should you be interested, will send you contact info for the Founder of Boardroom Golf and also a Spirts Illustrated veteran who produces golf events. All due respect to Norm’s copper girdle, Shelley nailed it.
