Silver Foxes?

This weekend was the weekend. I got my hair colored. The moment I see those pesky gray hairs peaking through, I start figuring out the best time to get my color done.

Every so often I think about embracing my gray. Women such as Helen Mirren, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Meryl Streep have done so and look phenomenal. I wonder why can’t I?

I also wonder whether this a gender issue. When I ask my husband, who is about 70% gray now why he does not feel the need to color his hair his answer is always the same, “I’m just happy I have hair.”

Do you embrace your gray? Why or why not?

This is a huge issue for me as Nancy well knows :)

I have grungily accepted that father time is doing its thing. No interest in coloring yet. I wish I had more in any case.

LOVE LOVE LOVE my natural gray hair. Have you ever thought about what is in hair dye and that you are absorbing all that through your scalp? Absolutely a sexist issue, we have a lot to conquer. As Corey says, do what is best for you.

I have actually given thought to what hair dye does. So, during the pandemic I switched to all natural, organic hair dye and doing it myself. I do feel as if my hair feels much better and I mentally feel better.

I started coloring my hair as a teen and continued into my 20s because I didn't like my brown color. When I stopped, I had a small patch of white on top and I was curious how long it would take before it was no longer a small patch. Now I cannot remember how long that was and love the way it looks and it is maintenance and chemical-free.

Let’s just say I adore Joanne’s Silver hair!

Yes! And it looks gorgeous on Joanne! But I'm pretty convinced not so much on me . . .
