Staples

If you have been vaccinated, I believe you are on the right track.

What’s more, once vaccinated you receive a proof of vaccination card and it’s a keeper, as you may need it for various purposes. As such, you need to maintain it in decipherable condition and what better way than lamination.

I pondered where can I get my vaccination card laminated and Staples popped to mind. So I called them to inquire and they said yes and what’s more “It’s free”!

A (for sure) brilliant stroke of marketing!

Soon we were at Staples and it was done. Then another pleasant surprise: they gave us discount certificates!

For me, the perfect sale: Free plus Discount!

Well, the rest was inevitable, we got $10 off for lots of stuff we really didn’t need :)

You laminated a copy right? They say not to laminate the original because they need to add in booster shots when they are available. If not, I’m sure they will have a mechanism for having a new card that just has booster shots.

Reminds me of the Staples button that said "that was easy" when you pressed it.

I asked for a second set, just in case...

Did you get the excelsior card. It’s an app fior your phone - and you can print it out. I laminated mine with 2 inch packing tape

Rumor has it that you kept a duplicate. In case of boosters. Also, I learned that the Excelsior Pass is only for vaccines taken in NYS. Keep the card.

Doesn’t work for out of state vax

I stayed within the NYU Langone system partially so I could have it in my file (app on my phone).

I have not laminated mine but plan to. Knowing staples does this for free may get me over there too. Good to know.

I scanned our cards, and protected our cards in a vinyl sleeve and also “enjoy” an Excelsior Pass.

My daughter is a teacher and her favorite thing is her laminator. I asked her to laminate my card. She said she was told not to because then you can't add booster shots to the card??

In the comments above, I read some difference of opinion as to whether or not to laminate ~ the most important thing is: You have been fully vaccinated!

Go on the NYS excelsior app. Enter your name and it will be on your iphone. it's too cumbersome to carry in your wallet

Don’t laminate unless you have a second set
