Covid New Year's Eve

Categories

For years we have celebrated New Year’s Eve with our dear friends. Usually just the two couples. We’d find a place on the East End to have dinner and stay over for breakfast on New Year’s Day.

This year will be different—for obvious reasons- but we are trying to hold on to some tradition.

We found a place to have an early dinner with our friends. Outside, of course. Then we’ll drive home - well before midnight.

Bringing on the new year in the time of pandemic.

Be safe and healthy.
Happy New Year.

Sounds like you are preserving the best part of the tradition. Stay safe and well - eat well, laugh heartily and make a memory!

Happy New Year to you and Flo and your beautiful family! We’ve had some great NYEs. I remember going to concerts, shows in the city.....Since the kids stopped doing NYE with us, we’ve been mostly celebrating in front of the fire with quiet time to reminisce and plan, watch a movie.... Sometimes an early dinner out, but always home before the ball drops. I guess we are old fogeys. Lol. Happy New Year to all of you in this wonderful tribe. Love and deeply heartfelt best wishes for a wonderful 2021!

Sounds like a great plan continued despite COVID.

Best to you and Flo (and Gotham Community) for a healthy and happy 2021.

I cannot remember a NYE spent locally for many years. We have often been in the air on Christmas Day or NYE. This year the only plan we discussed was what our NYE meal would consist of. We are in our house in the country, in the woods with no neighbors. It will probably be the quietest NYE ever, for us. So, in effect, it is almost like being in a foreign land. I wish everyone a healthy New Year, and a safe one. Two clichés but heartfelt.
