Making My Bed

Categories
Lifestyle

I was rushing to get out of the house last week and I noticed I had not made my bed. I was already late and thought about leaving the bed unmade. But I quickly thought how I would feel later that evening getting into an unmade bed. So, I quickly made the bed.

I make my bed every morning. Two of my children also make their beds but two of them do not. They are past the age where I can force them to make their beds so I do not try. I enjoy getting into a freshly made bed at night and, apparently, for them that is not important.

How about you? Do you make your bed in the morning?

Guilt is very strong motivating force...

I’m with you. Takes two minutes and feels great when you walk in and out if the room and get in bed at night. Starts the day having done at least one thing! Lol. Great speech on this by Admiral William H. McRaven. https://youtu.be/GmFwRkl-TTc

I love that Victoria always make the bed. It is nice that it is not all ruffled up and half on the floor, as it would be if not for Victoria. However, I do not like all the extra decorative pillows that I have to rearrange before hopping in. :( But I would never complain. LOL.

My wife is very strict about making the bed. I do my best to comply but it is never as crisp as when she does it, So itnusially it gets corrected or finessed by her.

My wife is very neat. When I get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and I come back the bed is made

Good point. Starting the day with something accomplished!

Every single day. If there is an off day when the bed is not made, we make it before we get back in. And, happily, my husband feels the same way.

Every day! I always have and it became especially important when I started working at home. The first thing I teach someone starting home business on my team is to get up, get dressed, make the bed, and go to work. It's a mindsetter.
