One of my favorite broadway musicals is Mary Poppins. An enchanting story about a nanny to an English family, who creates fun through structure and imagination. Practically perfect in every way. As I go through the painstaking efforts of moving into our new home, I’m reminded to find the fun in all of this chaos, “In the most delightful way”. “In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun, soon you find that snap, the job is a game.” Maybe I’m just born a positive Mary Poppins type, or maybe I’m completely entertained through routine experiences. If I’m not laughing, I might be crying, so best to find humor in the mundane. I’ve been surprised at how many times those Mary Poppins songs bubble up for me.
