Baseball is back this weekend

Baseball is back this weekend. For real.  The Mets hosted the Yankees in a summer exhibition game.  Last night's outcome confused. It included players I do not expect nor want to play when the games count but it was nice to experience it via the telly. There’s more tonight.

Did you check it out last night?

Do you plan to watch it tonight?

It also makes me excited to think about those same teams playing against each other for real on September 11, 2021, when Gotham and my local FDR Lodge Knights of Pythias have blocks of tickets in the newly named Thomas Tew (rum) Landing. Did you make (or renew) your reservation (original plan was for July 29 of this summer.).

I watched and liked the outcome, especially the Masked Man's Upper deck shot!
Corey Bearak

That guy playing 3B lasy night did not belong on the 60 player roster and almost got Polar Bear killed. Not happy at tonight's starter.
Daniel Schwartz

I did not watch but look forward to the mini-season to get started. Not a fan of any "warm up" games.

Checked in last night to see Cardboard fans and by chance caught Frazier destroy Porcello pitch. Two at bats, one Homer.
Will see how Yanks do the seating for a minute as well.
I am leaning toward not watching much oft his 60 game stuff. But, will be probably get into it for playoffs.
More excited about NBA!

I have fond memories of taking my kids to Tiger Stadium when they were little, buying peanuts in little paper bags from street vendors, and watching their eyes light up when they got to play with Trammel, Whitaker, and others as part of the Pepsi-Tiger Fan Club. The thing I love about baseball is how much pleasure it gives others. Even the fanaticism seems to bring joy. Enjoy!
