Calm v. Anxiety

The other morning we sat down for our morning meditation. As we do every morning, Flo turned on the Calm app on her phone. But weird things ensued. The app kept crashing.
After a few tries, we gave up and took an unguided moment to ourselves. Then Flo turned on the radio. NPR.
Resigned that if we can’t have Calm, why not the
anxiety of the news?
A return to “normal” ?

Swimming is an alternative reality with the calming water all around you...

I use the first 20 minutes of the day to sit in gratitude before doing anything else. I repeat that before bed after reading. In between, it's a run or a walk in the park for me. I've never enjoyed guided meditation and if I used an App it would constantly be interrupted with incoming beeps and buzzes.

I missing the swimming option. I take moments when I need it to "chill" as I prefer to call the "exercise."
