Saying Thanks

Categories
Lifestyle

One the easiest, yet most positive things a person can do is just say Thank You!

Not “no problem”,  just a heart felt expression of appreciation and gratitude.

Say it.  It rolls off your tongue easily: Thank You!

I recently was the beneficiary of 2 such expressions of gratitude and they felt SO good.  I did not expect them and they really were not necessary, but they felt SO good!

“You’re welcome“ just doesn’t measure up as a response.  Does one say Thank You for your Thank you?

Better still, thank you SO very much!

However, you do it, make sure that the Thank You is heard. Too often it may slip by without being noticed....

Powerful words that are often not spoken loudly enough. I do feel "You are Welcome" is appropriate enough and conveys the gratitude back.

Thank you means so much. Now more than ever!

Thank you so very much for this. And I would add that saying "you're welcome" is better than saying "oh, it was nothing" or adding a disclaimer. Two simple phrases can make the day for both participants.

I like the way the French respond to thank you . “ De rien.” Literally, of nothing or it was nothing . Paying it forward and then some by emoting . The extra grip of the hand shake . The searing eye contact . You see, we just don’t pay attention to the extra effort . The push that makes a mensch out of a flaccid impression . Bring it to the table folks . Do more than exist . Let people know you are there and accounted for . It goes a lot farther than you think . MAKE A STATEMENT . STEP UP TO THE PLATE !

no problem is the reply to You're Welcome after the Thank You!
Rona, I was not thinking tune Steve selected; thinking one Bonnie Raitt covered but that artist never hit top of my list to see or buy (not sure why); and Fred no boycott --LOL!
