Grandparents in the Time of Pandemic
This blog is for both grandparents and their children. Being a Grandparent in this time of pandemic- with physical isolation and social distancing--is difficult. We also recognize that parenting young children in these times was tough on our children.
A response has evolved.
A while ago, I offered to “virtually babysit” my 3 year old grandson. Not that he was left alone, but I was able to FaceTime and engage him for about a half hour whil his parents were in the next room having a break and much-needed time to focus on their work.
Flo reads bedtime stories to our 3 year old granddaughter. I get a wake up calls and we are often engaged by the others with FaceTime and Google Duo.
It is a win, win and win for grandparents, parents and the children.
Are you grand-parenting in this time of pandemic?
