A Breath of Fresh Air – Literally

With a touch of cold still in the air, it isn’t quite spring yet. It’s close, but not exactly. But this past weekend, I decided I didn’t care. It was close enough.

We have been so stuck inside these last few weeks. I work from my dining room table, which is a growing monstrosity of technology, files, phones – wait, that’s what my NYC office looks like too. Here, however, I look out the window to my deck and backyard. You may remember (or not) that we recently installed a new deck and patio and it has become my happy place.

So, with the sun shining last weekend we decided it was time to break open the deck and patio furniture from its plastic shell winter protection and pretend like it was warm enough to be outside.

Did you ever feel yourself take a deep breath? I didn’t notice it until afterwards but that was the sensation walking out onto the deck and sitting in my comfortable chair. And then, with everything going on around us, I had a moment of feeling really blessed.

We will get through this one moment at a time.

We will get through this....one fresh breath of air, at a time. Maybe a few deep gulps too!
