Never be the same....

Washing my hands will never be the same.
Finding paper towels on the supermarket shelf and throwing them into the shopping cart will never be the same.
And hugging my family and friends will never be the same.

Read this article about seven major possible cultural shifts.

Last night the short video of the two I posted to Fredslist that we discussed got the last segment of the 11th Hour last night. Recall the intense discussion on the issue on the last Gotham Cv call?

Thanks Paul for posting the Federalist article. While it has good observations, many of it's ideas are typical upper middle class arrogance. "We are all doing pretty well"section is in a stark contrast to data published by On The Media last year on the national crisis of homelessness and eviction. The idea that workers should negotiate with their employers themselves and we should do away with government regulation is ridiculous. I guess the 8-hour work day, paid sick leave etc arrived through the generosity and care of employers? I'm sure I can successfully negotiate for my potential job with a corporation by myself, without any rules imposed by the government. If I don't want to work 14 hours a day, I can just quit and successfully negotiate with anther employer. I am alarmed that so many in this country rake these ideas seriously.

My appreciation for science and the medical field, for vaccines. All the little things, being in the company of good friends and sharing holidays and birthdays with other actual human beings....hugs...walking near the ocean seems like a far off dream. 3 new terms I learned....forbearance, furlough and PPE's.....2 new skills.....zoom, google hang out...

Sports and concerts or any event involving people will be looked at differently.
Hearing the the horrific news about some people spitting on cops purposely and saying they had the virus is just unthinkable to me, yet that is the society we live in.
