It's About Time

We haven't seen much snow here in the Northeast. I miss it.

Before you start applauding or rolling your eyes, it's one of the reasons why I live here. If I didn't like snow I would move to Key West or California. Following are some quotes that might cause you to stop and pause a bit...

snow

“To appreciate the beauty of a snowflake, it is necessary to stand out in the cold," says Aristotle.

“Snow brings a special quality with it—the power to stop life as you know it dead in its tracks.” unknown.

“I realize there’s something incredibly honest about trees in winter, how they’re experts at letting things go.” – Jeffrey McDaniel

Bring it on I say...one last blast before Spring!

Let it snow let it snow let it snow...

I'm with you. I enjoy a good snowstorm (providing no one gets hurt). I LOVE being cozy in the house, making soup etc. and then going out to enjoy the fresh snow. I love the way it looks before the plows, cars etc, get to it.

I saw that Watertown-not far from your old stomping ground- had 4 feet over the last couple of days.
It is beautiful if it lasts a day. Spring snowstorm and then 50 degrees the next day is perfect!

Remember...”It’s not over till it’s over.” Yogi B.I once remember a blizzard on April 3rd. Also, hail stones on June 10th. Then...the deluge.

I too long a good snow storm now and then, Yes it is a pain to clean it up, but what better way to enjoy what winter is all about. Like Rona, some soup or hot chocolate, maybe start up the fire place (seems like a couple of years since we did that), and of course, a snowball fight or two. Plus, it does do a good for our reservoirs so we have enough water for next summer.
