It’s an exciting time for our firm because we are consolidating our human capital into one beautiful building. Our Chief Economist and our Chief Investment Strategist will be within an ear shot of my desk, so I’ll be part of real time information. Good for me and good for clients. One of the fun parts of moving is purging of accumulated rubbish. Starting anew. Yesterday, a built-in team effort to purge developed into a fashion show. There were old shoes, feather boas, extra neck ties, socks, hair clips, cigars; the list goes on and on. Why did we have such things in our desk? I admit, the boa was mine. It was a left-over from a girls weekend in Atlantic City. I’m reminded of the opportunity to “clean house” and work smarter and lose the rubbish. An organized space is an organized mind.
