Super Bowl

As the Super Bowl approaches this Sunday, I ask “What does this Super Bowl mean to me?”

The Kansas City Chiefs against the San Francisco 49ers; neither team is one that I’ve followed. No favorites. No hats.

But I look forward to the Super Bowl as a break. It should be a welcome distraction from the fracas in Washington and from the helicopter tragedy in California that took Kobe Bryant and others and is rocking the sports world and beyond.

The incessant commentary of the Super Bowl and the much-hyped commercials should be a relief. (I hope to avoid the political commercials which, I think, should be banned from the Super Bowl.)

We’ve been invited to a Super Bowl party and, perhaps, we’ll take them up on the invitation.

And there’s always the office pool - not that I can ever figure it out - but something I can look forward to for Monday morning.

What does this Super Bowl mean to you?

Going to a new friend’s party and bringing Dairy Queen (vanilla and chocolate with chocolate sprinkles)!

often a good excuse to get together with group of friend's. I have no horse but like KC as an old AFL stalwart back in the days of Len Dawson, like its current coach and dislike San Fran and its thwarting of Boomer's superbowl.....

It means less to me than in the past. I haven't watched in the past few years and if I watch any of it this year, it won't be the entire game. I agree about the political commercials, but they should all be banned...not like this year when some are and some aren't. To those watching, enjoy!

First female coach will have us rooting for 49ers

I'm not from here... so I don'y understand the importance of Superbowl (and many other sporting events) - so I overlooked. I scheduled a Vocal Gym workshop on Sunday - and I actually got participants! (mostly women, lol). Enjoy the game, watchers!
