Once upon a time we scored back stage passes for a Rolling Stones concert.

As we wandered about in the promised land we came upon Keith Richards and I seized the moment and asked him to stop and pose for a picture with me.  He was readily willing, but said he was about to go on stage.  I hurriedly handed the camera to Joanne who was not familiar with it and faltered.

My instant state of alarm was immediately soothed as he smiled at Jo and, as if he had all day, sweetly said “Take your time Darlin’!”

The resultant picture is above and I’ve always mused Keef might pen a song by that name.

Who says Rock Stars aren’t down to earth?

His face does not portend a “ Take your time Darlin’ “moment . But Joanne has a way with men . That being said Zelig.....What’s in the red cups? Right place right time moment . And only now do we come to understand that you were in the company of a legend . You are a guy that walks between the raindrops Derf . We seem to travel the same road that way . You reach out and we reach back. Enamored by your candid approach . Enough kudos . As the story unfolds what will people say about us ? My kids play a game . They make up scenarios about me . “Dad , have you ever stolen a taxi ? “ Ofcourse the answer is always yes . You and me Derf . We keep our eye on the prize . Always .
