Sleep was the topic of discussion this morning in my Weight Watchers meeting. I was surprised to learn about the importance of sleep with respect to weight loss. But the discussion went way beyond that. We discussed the importance of a good night’s sleep for stress relief as well as basic productivity.

I was hardly the only one in the meeting to talk about my difficulties with getting a good night’s sleep. Recently, I find myself having trouble falling asleep and, thereafter, waking up during the night and not being able to go back to sleep. I listened closely to the suggestions people made to help one fall asleep. Some suggestions included turning off all screens an hour before going to sleep, no caffeine after 2:00 p.m. as well as no eating after 8:00 p.m., and meditating before bed.

Do you have trouble with sleep? What are some of your suggestions for a good night’s sleep?

Intimacy has always helped me...Do stay away from coffee, alcohol and any work related items hours before bed time.

I have the same problem as you and Riva. Fall asleep fine but then I'm up. I hate that. I heard some advice about walking through your childhood home . . . .
