Inspiring

I teach entrepreneurship at Hofstra in the evenings and just started another class last week. Each class is filled with a variety of individuals from diverse backgrounds from matriculated students to single working Moms. As I start every semester, every student stands and describes their business idea and what they would like to get out of the class.

While listening to each person's dream, I am always inspired. Most individuals in the class have worked a full day, taken care of themselves as well as their family then...listen to me rant and rave about what it takes to be an entrepreneur and start or grow a successful business for 3 hours. (with a break thrown in there too:)

Their perserverce and motivation never cease to amaze me. I am very grateful for the opportunity to meet these future business leaders. They are already successful.

Not to mention you worked a full day, took care of yourself and your family and made the time to help others.

Awesome. :) I hear you. My students inspire me daily. I teach business communications to freshmen and Organizational Behavior to graduate MBA students. They are committed to their future simply by their effort and commitment to being there and furthering their education and career options. Love to listen to them. Must be fun to teach entrepreneurship!

What an incredible idea, having them vocalizing their dreams. It must be inspiring for them as well as you.

Kudos Mitch ! We need people to step up and engage . Share knowledge and exchange ideas . Good minds are always thirsting for ways to improve . I’m teaching a class to local Special Needs folks at the local college on getting things into perspective . All ages and all comers . Very proud of you brother . The circle of life depends on us .

That sounds fascinating. I work with developmentally disable young adults on weekends...what exactly do you teach?
