A Temperature Dispute

I am reasonably convinced that I have written this blog before but the conversation continues so indulge me.

In my house, we are temperaturistically opposed. Yes, I know that is not really a word.

Forever, I am opening windows and Bill is closing them as soon as I walk out of the room. I turn the air conditioning to its highest power (meaning, I am playing the game “how freezing can the house get”) while Bill claims the thermostat as his own to warm up the place.

Literally, sometimes we wait for the other one to fall asleep to gain control of the ceiling fan. And this is true regardless of the season.

I think I will buy him warm socks for the holidays this year.

How does your thermostat work?

We are the same. Maybe it's a bill paying thing (:

Phil just ordered me one piece footed pajamas. Guess which side of this debate I'm on?

Nance, as much as I like and respect Bill, I'm squarely on your side of this age-old debate. When I was in college, I'd seriously considered marketing "his and her" bedding: one side would be just a sheet and the other would be a thick quilt, and they'd simply be sewn together. It'd make the sleeping segment of life far simpler.

Too funny! I am the same way. I love the cold. My husband loves to be warm -- I blame it on his Cuban blood. P.S. Happy happy birthday!!!!

My wife is a farm girl from Minnesota. This morning the temp in the bedroom was 43 degrees . I was afraid to get out of bed . The toilet seat froze to my butt! The dogs were even under the covers . We have heat but you wouldn't know it . The dogs and I are sitting by the fire as Diane is walking around in jeans and a T Shirt . I call her Annie Oakley . She calls me "Weenie " amongst other things!

Belated Happy Birthday!

We enjoy the nest app. It's on my Mac, iPad and iPhone. It's on her devices too but she only seems to adjust it on the living room wall. I use my devices and always get the last word. But generally we both want a comfy temp.
