The Twin Commercial

Have you noticed that with more and more frequency a commercial is repeated in the same program cycle? You walk out of the room to grab a drink and come back to the start of the same commercial that was ending as you left.

Does anyone else out there find that advertising practice annoying? I do. I suppose it does make me think again about the product but I am less inclined to think favorably about it.

Have you noticed this trend?

Repetition generally makes sense and hits home. The quality of the ad goes to whether you like it/ hate it but recall the product/ service and in what light. My Gotham promo today focused on that angle from a different perspective.

Most of my watching has been DVR'd so just fast forward thru the commercials.

I'm with Cayce. Most of what we watch has either been DVR'd or is on Netflix.

If repetition makes you less likely to buy product, you are likely not their target market to begin with.
