Are you superstitious? I know I am!Superstition is defined as a belief or notion, not based on reason or knowledge, in or of the ominous significance of a peculiar thing, occurrence, proceeding or the like – irrational fear of what is unknown or mysterious.

The owner of our auto body shop (doesn’t everyone with a car have “their” body shop?) has a thoughtful word of advice. “If it can be fixed with money, it’s not really a problem.” Think about it.

Sometimes I just need to take a day.   I had worked all week end, yesterday i went to the beach with my Wife. Wonderful.   And today, I just took the day to have a Completely Cayce Day.  

  A while back, some of you may remember that I asked for some recommendations to help us build a new deck. Of course, Gotham came through.    

  This blog is about coffee. And, perhaps, a bit about tea. Although, for me that’s a nighttime beverage. In this blog, I’m wondering how people get their early morning beverage.

A New York woman fooled dozens of guys who thought they were going on a Tinder date.   A huge crowd of men looking for love gathered in Manhattan’s Union Square last Saturday for a chance to date Natasha Aponte. But when they showed up, she told them they'd be battling it out to win her affections.   She began eliminating the guys left and right like on the dating app, saying she was “swiping” right or left on them to their faces.  

I live on Long Island and commute to work in Manhattan by car.  I drive to the East River on the Long Island City side where I park and take the subway 2 stops into the city. The distance is 19 miles and when I was young and training for the marathon, Ben Geizhals and I (see photo) would run the 19 miles into the city once a week.  It was quite a trip!
