	Last night's Gala was a magnificent event for me. Receiving the Networker of the Decade award was an honor. I was completely surprised. People plan surprises and somehow  it gets out. Not this time. When Fred started talking, I couldn't figure out what he was talking about. I was on the Gala committee and didn't know that the award was even being considered!
	As many of you know, Gotham is a big and important part of my life. When Nancy and Fred started this, we didn't know where it was going. As Gotham has grown, so have I. The people I have met at Gotham have always encouraged me and made me feel good about myself.
	Our motto  "It's better to give than receive" doesn't fit in this case. RECEIVING this award is one of the proudest moments of my life.
	Thank you Fred , Nancy, Ben and all those who were involved in awarding me Networker of the Decade.
