I am a compulsive and constantly overbooked volunteer. My current activities are with the Institute Library New Haven; REN (Reproductive Equity Now); Compassion and Choices; CT Citizen Audit (election integrity etc.); Haven's Harvest - Food Rescue and Redistribution; Canvasser and Advisor for political parties and elections; CT Citizen's Action Group - Environmental and Worker's Rights; and some other stuff.
Training/consulting for industrial and manufacturing facilities - predominantly in the maintenance of equipment and management of the workforce. Our goal is to assist mid-level managers and supervisors to feel confident while improving their work process, and to teach them good management skills. We also have a series of e-Learning modules for Mechanical and Electrical Skills training.
Marketing, Internet outreach, seminar coordination, some cooking, lots of eating.
Board of Directors, CT Voters Count (Election Integrity not for profit); formerly Board of Directors, PoliticaCT.org; formerly Board of Directors, NARAL Pro-Choice Connecticut - PAC; Steering Committee, Milford Speaks Out; Member, Democratic Town Committee; Planned Parenthood of Connecticut - political action volunteer; former Commissioner: Milford (CT) Economic Development Commission; formerly Chamber of Commerce Bd of Directors; Co-Chair, Education Committee (Scholarships and Grants); Legislative Action Committee; former Board of Directors, Downtown Milford Business Association.
Edging toward a healthy and fulfilling retirement, I remain open to all options. If you *do* have a question about "workforce management" in the manufacturing sector, I am happy to chat. However, I am currently more interested in Food. Eating it.
