I have been practicing law in New York for over 40 years, first with a large Park Avenue firm, then as a partner in a small labor and entertainment–oriented firm, and for the past 18 years as a partner in a mid-sized general practice. I can literally say “been there, done that”. My principal areas of practice involve entertainment law - the representation of creative artists and businesses in the literary arts, music, performing arts, visual arts and design - and the related fields of copyright and trademark law, with significant ties to the fashion industry. I have represented performers, writers, producers, designers, investors and others related to the entertainment industry, including labor unions and charitable organizations.
Ballon Stoll Bader & Nadler, founded in 1931, is an established mid-sized law firm offering a full range of legal services to individuals and businesses.
As a lawyer I negotiate and draft commercial contracts of every variety. I have also represented management and labor in collective bargaining. Outside of the office I play golf whenever possible, read voraciously (mostly fiction) and enjoy all the theater and sports New York has to offer, especially my beloved Giants. I also play the piano and write music for my own amusement.
