Hi Linda,

Have been meaning to write you all day (yesterday, I had four more meetings
afterward, and just about fell into bed), but all sorts of "stuff" happened.

I thought Open House was great. I met some very interesting people,
including Michael Lord, who runs a head hunting business focusing on
lawyers. He and I are scheduled to get together after Passover. There's a
lot of synergy between us, in that I know a LOT of lawyers and a LOT of law
firms, and can give him a whole bunch of names and contacts, and he may be
able to get us in front of firms he knows to pitch money management.

Spoke as well to Troy White, and I'm putting him in touch with my wife who
runs the Scarsdale After School Clubs, an enrichment program at our
elementary schools. Economic and personal finance education are subjects
that are rarely, if ever, taught in the regular curriculum, and I kind of
think she'll like the idea. Could be a way for his non-profit to fulfill
both "mission" and make some money, because the kids pay a fee for the
classes.

Anita Taub, who evidently paid close attention to my Declaration of
Independence story (you still have a standing invitation to come to
Scarsdale and see the rest of the collection), thought it might be an
interesting idea for her to put on an antiques/jewelry show in our 1828
Quaker Meeting House space. Might be a good fund raising idea-which heaven
knows we need!

Paul Gellert and I chatted a bit about our little mortgage company, and said
that if there were any deals I couldn't do, that I could sent them his way,
and we'd work out a split. That's really good to know, because we mostly do
A-Paper (prime loans), and sometimes don't know where to go with "funkier"
deals.

All-in-all, a very productive use of time. Thank you very much for
encouraging me to attend. If it's all right, I think I may do a repeat
performance!

Regarding our next Gotham Hispanic meeting, I may bring along a guest who is
with a start-up bank in Westchester County. Scott Malik is the head of
Commercial Real Estate lending, and I think he'd be a great addition to
Gotham-if not in our group, then perhaps in another. I met him today
through our Commercial Real Estate finance guy, and we found out that both
of our fathers had been behind-the-lines spies in World War II. Now that's
got to be a very small fraternity.

Wishing you and yours a very happy and healthy Passover. Thanks again for
the invitation.

Best regards, LJM
