The Big Fine

So, what do you think? Did Tom Brady deserve to be suspended? If so, how do you feel about 4 games? Did the Patriots deserve the $1 million fine?

And how does Tom Brady’s four game “deflategate” suspension compare to the NFL’s initial two game suspension of Ray Rice for beating his soon to be wife?

I have a lot of questions today.

The biggest "hurt" was the loss of next year's first draft choice.

This is well deserved. And I agree with Fred about losing their draft pick.

Tom Brady should be kicked out. Along with many others.
The fact that this is "news" when we have real problems in the world astounds me.

My brother is a huge Jets fan and his birthday happened to be yesterday-the day of the announcement. He wanted to write a thank you note to Commissioner Goodell for the birthday present. :)

Brady can no longer deny what he has tried to hide for so long. He is flawed with the worst characteristics one could have, that being a liar and a cheat. No matter how many games he has won in the past or how many he will win in the future. He will always be remembered for his dishonesty. I feel his 4 game suspension is too light, perhaps he should lose some endorsements as well. Integrity and trust should always be revered and never compromised.

I think the 2 are really not comparable by the letter of the NFL rules. A labor attorney could probably better comment on the CBA but from my understanding there are not any set implications for a players off the field behavior. This will most likely change in future CBA's after the rash of incidents this season. As for Brady I think they went light on him but if they were to do any more the backlash would have been too much. Cheating never pays ....

I am a Jets fan but breaking rules deserves sanction and covering it up (or trying to) deserves sanction. A-Roid never got caught using the stuff but lost an entire season. Is this more akin to calking a bat or applying a substance to a baseball? It gets you ejected from the game. How many games were really involved? I still have questions. A lighter ball is easier to control, and to catch and harder to jar from a ball carrier.
