A Little Kindness

Goes a long way for everyone around.

I watched a scene unfold the other day on the other side of a crowded LIRR train.  A woman joined the crowd who was clearly pregnant and the train was crowded.

I will admit that I usually jump up for a pregnant woman on a train, plane or in an automobile.  I remember what it was like to stand for two all the way to Penn Station.  But I was on the other side of a crowded car.

And then I watched two commuters have a playful disagreement about which one of them would give up their seat for the young woman.  “I’ll get up” – “No, you sit, its fine” – “Really, it’s ok.”  Or something along those lines.

A small act, but small acts of kindness go a long way.

I believe in the idea of pay it forward.  Join me.

[And of course, Happy Halloween!]

If everyone did a small act of kindness, it would change the world drastically.

Of course! Help me help the cause? Am looking for an empty movie theater to become the PAY IT FORWARD theater. It will show the movie PAY IT FORWARD about every 3 hours, so schools can bring children at no cost to see how kindnesses can positively affect the world (and time for discussions).

I echo Brad ... practice acts of kindness. They are a grace bestowed on the recipient and the giver.
