The Time Has Come

How many of you still pay your child’s cell phone bill?   I know this is a regular conversation amongst my friends.  Mind you, we are not talking about teenagers around this table but rather grown adults.

This past weekend, out of the blue, my son called to say he needed our mobile account password because he was switching phone carriers and taking on the bill himself.

Ok, honestly, stopped a little in our tracks.

You teach your children to fly, and then they fly – and pay their own cell phone bills.

Feels pretty good watching them soar (although amongst friends I will admit that I do wish the flight wasn’t so darned far.  My arms get very tired).

Once they are working on their own, they should be paying for their own bill, in my opinion.

We still have them all on our plans. I wonder whether we'll pay for my grandchildren's cell phones.

We are not there yet, but we are committed to covering the girls' bills until they indicate otherwise.

Tough decisions on what and when to cut the cords on. I remember my laundry cord was cut on Lehigh U graduation day and there was also rent should I want yo stay home, lol.
