Clean Much?

Categories
Lifestyle

To me, there are two types of people in the world, those who like to clean and those who do not. I fall into the latter category; I am not a cleaner. My mother was a world class cleaner. My siblings, my father, and I used to joke that she would follow each of us around the house holding a sponge so she could clean as we were physically making the mess.

So I rebelled against my upbringing and became a noncleaner. There is nothing that I dread more than cleaning the house. Luckily for me, my husband is the opposite. He loves to clean. This weekend ha planned and was looking forward to cleaning out our spice cabinet. As for me, I dreaded the experience.

Are you a cleaner?

Never really thought about it. Probably not.

I am a project cleaner. This past weekend, I cleaned out my closet and drawers. It was a full day job and felt so good. I think I lean a little here towards Philip.

Not very much, but at some point, it needs to get done. We never let food items sit, so dishes and post cooking clean up happens right away. My wife is the cleaner of the overall house for sure.

Cleaning is mindless and while I wouldn't say I like it, I do find it a great distraction; it's therapeutic. I feel the same about ironing and kind of miss having that to do from time to time.
