Water Song

One of the nice things I enjoy as a parent involves sharing "my" music with my kids.  As I recently blogged, my daughter and I enjoy concerts together; sometimes her mom even joins us.  In what could be my last live show for 2022 (There's always hope for more.), we took Marisa to see (and experience) Hot Tuna at The Paramount in Huntington.  Even if you thought you were unfamiliar with their music, you likely heard this one that they served up as their encore last night. Many a Radio DJ used Water Song to close a show.

How does Paramount stack up as a venue?

Did you you see Steve L there? Never much of a fan of Hot Tuna, but my brothers did play it growing up.

I remember when we were getting tickets for Billy Joel's Last Play at Shea. MY kids all wanted to come with us. When I was surprised and said that he was not their generation of music, they quickly corrected me. They pointed out that they knew so many of his songs because I played his music in the house while they were growing up. I bought them the tickets and had a blast with them.

Phenomenal venue. Victoria and I had our wedding reception there, in the basement Founders club. It’s like a speakeasy.

A nice venue in a nice village. I want a summer or nice weather show so we can walk the village. We are across the street.

Have not explored that part of the club but very enjoyable experiences there.

Corey…Ava and I were there! Sorry we missed you. We were hanging by bar stage right first set; front left second set. Thanks to a friend we also had passes for the Founder’s Room. Nice hang and awesome show.
