The Pitted Olive

We stopped for a late afternoon glass of wine. We ordered marinated olives with the wine - a justification that we wouldn’t be drinking on an empty stomach.
The olives had their pits.
As we ate, we commented that the olives - with pits - tasted better than others. I realized that with the pits you are forced to think about biting into the olive, manipulating it your mouth and avoid swallowing the pit. You actually think about eating the olive.
Mindfulness and the olive.

I broke a tooth doing so without being mindful :(

I agree, they taste better and have a nice firm texture as well. Pitted ones are always way too soft in my opinion.

Oooh. I love this. Mindfulness and pits. Yes! Great to see you both last night. Xo
