Driving home I swung into the drive-through at Starbucks to get my favorite summer drink.

Starbucks

 

This is the actual conversation:

 

Starbucks employee: Hi...welcome to Starbucks what can I get started for you?

Me: I'd like an iced grande black tea lemonade, No sugar please

Starbucks employee: With sugar?

Me: No...noooo sugar please

Starbucks employee: (no response for a couple of seconds) Sorry we are out of black tea

Me: Really ?!?! (I'm laughing)

Starbucks employee: Yes

Me: Okay...I'll take green tea lemonade

Starbucks employee: (no repsonse for about 10 seconds) We don't have any lemonade

Me: (Laughing uncontrollably) Let me ask you a question...do you have ice?

Starbucks employee: Let me check

Bet they had coffee. Anyway, Reminds me of being at the opening of the Landshark bar on the beach in AC. Jimmy Buffett played for an hour. Great event. And….they ran out of Landshark beer!

Reminds me of the time my family and I recently wanted to go to a restaurant that doesn't take reservations. We go up to the door, tell the hostess how many will be seated and she responds: "sorry, we don't have any more food."

Last week after being rained away from Central Park we stopped at Shake Shack for my wife to hit the bathroom. I said please get me some fries. She came back and told me they were out of fries!
