The box

Last Sunday I came home to disover a huge box on the porch. There was no return address but it had bar codes like it was sent through UPS. On the site of the box was a phone number.

We did not order anything that large so I decided to call the phone number. Here's the conversation:

Box#: Hello?

Me: Hi, who is this?

Box#: Who is this ?!

Me: I'm on my porch looking a big box with your phone number on the side.

Box#: That's creepy

Me: Yes it is

Box#: I'm Mo, who's this?

Me: I'm Mitch,  where do you live?

Mo: In Sea Cliff, you?

Me: Me too!

Mo: Well, I run a business and get shipments all the time, what street are you on?

Me: 5 Clinton, why don't you come over and we can figure this out

Mo: Yes, I'll come over with my wife. I'll call you when we get there

Well, we opened it and found a fold up table in this huge box. We were supposed to receive this towards the end of the week.

Guess I made two new friends in Sea Cliff!

Isn't there a commercial "Just call Mo"?

Nice. For some reason this made me think of Irwin Kirschenbaum who met his wife on line, literally standing on line for a concert. (Thoughts and love to Marguerite.)

That’s why it was so funny when they used to tell everyone they met “on line” - everyone thought that! Lol. But it’s the jn person contact that’s so powerful. To your point. :))

I likely would have just opened the box first. If it was something I never ordered, I would then call. You are a better person for being very considerate. Maybe it's the Brooklyn born in me.
