Travel Dreams

I know it isn’t time just yet. I know that COVID will keep us close to home for a while. But at some point, we will settle into a more regular rhythm. The world will open up again and we will be able to travel.

In my house, we have been talking about a trip to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary just over one year away. What do you think? Will we be able to celebrate somewhere other than here?

And now I invite you to play along. It feels good to be thinking about traveling again.

If you were planning a special trip a year or so from now, where would you go?

For our combined big birthday celebrations this year, Phil and I had agreed to go to South Africa. Since it wasn't my first choice, I had two "asks." First, I wanted the bed seats on the flights-which I have never sat in-and second I wanted to be in a luxury glamping lodge for the safari part of the trip. He was able to do both in our price range and he booked it for the last week of September, 2021. Fingers crossed.

Greece, Portugal....
Really want to do a trip across our beautiful country. So much I haven’t seen. Grand Canyon. Texas...and Allie and Jackson will be moving to Louisville for a new job this summer, so definitely Kentucky!

Since I live in my dream vacation place the only other trips I would want are my trips to Laguna Beach to see one half of my crew and to Athen GA to see the other half. When I moved to NYC it was the first time that whenever I went anywhere else, I couldn’t wait to come home.
