Hurry Up and Wait!

Seems inappropriate to write about anything other than this GREAT AMERICAN process.

2020 is proving to be an unexpected, historical year. We, as a country, as a people, and as a society, have been through what I describe, as SERIOUS turbulence.

My friend told me a story yesterday that I thought was funny and light. I will share it with you, here.

A woman walked into Wegmans late yesterday afternoon and in her shopping cart you found 1 pint of Haagen Dazs chocolate ice cream, Herr's regular potato chips, a bag of Tate's chocolate chip cookies and a can of heavy whip cream. This was her plan for the evening. When she placed her items on the belt, at the 10 items or less line, the cashier commented to her " Wow, this looks like a you are planning to watch the elections tonight." The women replied.... Yes, I'm either going to be eating because I'm completely upset at the results, or completely happy. Either way, I'm eating my way through this election process".  The cashier chuckled and said, "Do you want me to throw away the receipt and destroy the evidence?"  The women replied "Yes, and if anyone asked, you never saw me".

What are you doing to move through the wait?

Started with Pasta quickly moved onto Ben and Jerry's and then to watch calming British Mysteries. Way too many emotions and thoughts.

Answering phone calls and emails and, thank you, your Gotham blog, taking comfort in commiserating. Like Ben, I am also hoping the process works.
