Tents

Categories
Holidays

Have you noticed all the tents cropping up in back yards and parking lots?

A sign of the times!

With the cold weather coming I am told there has been a run on out door heat lamps and tents too I’m sure.  How else will restaurants survive?

For me, Thanksgiving turkey with family is a goal which I have been pushing.

Where is Omar the tent maker when I need him most?

I suggest an addition to the tents and heaters....
I just got myself a nice throw to provide a little personal warmth when eating out.

I love the idea of eating outdoors. The city is full of sidewalk cafes - feeling very European.
And beginning to see heat lamps cropping up.

I never underestimate human ingenuity. The businesses that are nimble are the ones that survive - they have created amazing spaces in NYC. And it's true for us as well - enjoying TG even if it's different and being like Ben and finding simple solutions. As for Omar, I imagine he is retired by now.

I like Ben’s idea of a wrap when eating outside. And I actually use Flo’s gorgeous scarves and wraps which I’ve collected over the years! Check out Refined Finds!

Her colorful socks are warmly welcome too!

I’ve been collecting shawls for years (I have a great source:)... it took a pandemic to put them to good use! The brisk, beautiful weather this season will make us stronger and warmer... embrace it!

Is "Omar the tent maker" politically correct these days? Just asking . . . .

You’re a teepee, you’re a wigwam, you’re a teepee, you’re a wigwam, relax...you’re just two tents.
Fred Klein

No toupee, wig, they’re just two rugs :)

Who knew there would be a run on tents? Really these are awnings with snap in sides. Tents are really something you sleep in with sewn in sides and maybe several zippered windows, but that is a conversation for another day.
