Self Perception Revealed

If our identity is defined by what we do, then we can become anything we “do” consistently. It dawned on me that transformation can occur simply by, becoming. Should you train for a marathon and run in the marathon, you are a marathoner. If you remove meat products from your diet, you become a vegetarian. Commitment to becoming is within our control. Do you like to get up early? You’re an “Early Riser” Do you like to stay up late? You might be called a “Night Owl”. The opportunity in the restrictions imposed by the pandemic, provided a platform to become more than we thought possible. At times, the demands were impossible, but magically, we became. Anything you want to become? Tell us first, so we may witness the transformation.

Being Greener. I do drive much less and have started the process to get solar power for our house.

Great Blog! What stands out the most is how much my life now is like the life I had decades ago. I cook, clean, workout, and read 2-3 books at a time. Instead of focusing on taking care of kids, I focus taking care of my business. Playdates have been replaced with Zoom call. So what I have become is what I was with a few tweaks. What do I want to become? Better at it all.

On the one hand, life in this bubble is busier than ever. On the other hand, it is an extended snow day, allowing pockets of reflection and peace seeking transcendence to more that I might be. And so I am following an energetic protocol of asking rigorous questions of my relationship to life itsel, stepping outside the traditional boundaries of identity. Perhaps an endless quest. So be it. Thank you!

This is a concept we discuss regularly in WW. I am a water drinker and I have become someone who practice Pilates regularly.
