Just recently, a Washington state library, in the midst of a rennovation, were removing a corner panel which, lo and behold, revealed a stash of beer and chewing gum from the 1980s. Ironically the panel was from a shelf housing the mystery book section. The stash contained five unopened cans of Hamm's beer and an opened back of Godzilla Heads gum.

Of course they researched the origins and determined that the snack stash is more than 30 years old. The city officials said the "artifacts" were transferred "to another city facility." (the Sudbury Landfill :)

Where's your stash? Or better yet, do you remember where it is and what's in it? :-)

In 1981 ourVillage was 50 years old and my boys and I crafted and filled a Time Capsule to be opened on Village grounds in 2031.

No secret places per se. currently top drawer of a file cabinet with only one drawer still containing files.. Stash is one can on unsweetened pineapple hunk and several apple sauce single snack cups.

No stash for me. I gave up on that years ago, after we moved from Brooklyn. I can remember in my mom's house hiding candy bars (Halloween sized treats) and of course finding them several years later, too stale to eat.

I saw that article. I think I take offense that they referred to objects from the 1980's as artifacts. What does that make us???? :)
