What A Day
Finally a really nice day.
It's a good morning...and I'm feelin' fine.
I prepared for it for several weeks, setting up my deck aka the outside office (as I outlined in a prior blog). I made Shelly and this correspondent my specialty omelets (sauteed onions, garlic and ginger) topped with Muenster Cheese. Shelly has hers with a toasted English Muffin; I preferred the Bialys. We both enjoyed my morning brew (hers was a second helping as she prefers Dunkin’). After our tasty breakfast I read my morning papers and emails – responded where needed, watched some news and gained some exercise sweeping tree droppings.
Before exercise, I made a new friend (see pic below and at left above).

I know Shelly posted pics of me reading and later sweeping on Instagram.
After my workout, I continued to enjoy the outside, sampling a variety of my music on Apple Music, Grateful Dead’s Bob Weir’s solo LP, “Ace,” most of the The Buckinghams’ hit singles, some of Byrds’ member Chris Hillman’ s solo work on Asylum Records following his stint in the Souther Hillman Furay Band and finally a bit of Chicago (from its Live at Carnegie Hall 4 LP set).
We concluded the outdoor stint when it was time to pick up dinner (My choice of entree and restaurant inspired with by a conversation during Gotham (Zoom) Happy Hour with my friend Raj Goel.). It was a short drive and Shelly noted how nice driving is during a clear sky in early eve daylight.
Along with dinner, we watched more episodes of Fauda (we are in middle of Season 2) on Netflix.
Yesterday was a nice start.
I got to
I look forward to more nice days.

March seemed like it was a year long.
April seems to have vanished overnight.
Staying indoors doesn't bother me (much).
One of the NICEST / BEST things out of Covid have been the Gotham Happy Hour Zoom calls.
The Friday Happy hours with gotham and the daily zoom calls with my nieces & nephews have helped me maintain sanity and truly brought JOY to my life.
And regardless of the weather, any conversation with Corey, Nancy, Dan, etc. is always worth while.
Discovering how many Gothamites live/eat new New Hyde Park was an eye opener.
Post-Covid19, I hope we continue the zoom happy hours - they are fun.
