After taking care of a few technical glitches—people dialing in on the wrong number and eliminating static from a bad connection — we settled in to our first Gotham Covid 19 conference call on Tuesday at 5 pm. (In the interest of not leaving anyone out or getting names wrong, I will not mention names.) It was informative group therapy....

We shared our different experiences, from groceries to working, from doom and gloom to the hope of new opportunities for creativity, and the challenges that lie ahead.

We got the view from the judge’s bench and from the tenants unable to pay rent and the landlords unable to pay their mortgages.

A Gothamite in San Francisco gave us a real view of what’s going on there and a travel agent shared the inside scoop on the challenges of that industry.

It was an opportunity to share and gain perspectives at this critical and challenging time. It was comforting to share...

Join us for the next call on Tuesday at 5 p.m.

Will you send the number again next week? I'd like to join the call if at all possible.

so important!! I am going to try to set up some zoom "coffeeklataches" or perhaps "casual cocktails" to keep in touch with all of the groups I no longer see on a daily/weekly basis.
Looking forward to speaking with Gotham again next week!

Great info on the call yesterday. I will also agree that having an avenue to vent frustrations as well as learn of any new ideas that we can incorporate during this pandemic, really helps the mind and soul.

It is comforting to know we have each other's backs and here to cheer & support each other. Wondering how you eliminated phone static? This was an issue on the Towers group call, so any advice is welcome. You're a wise man to not name names, I did & left one out! Lesson learned the hard way :/

When I posted the first date in my calendar, I made it a recurring event. Everyone should! Will not share the (projected) end date I posted.
